Is there a satisfaction guarantee?

Customer satisfaction is my top priority. After your painting is completed you will be sent a photo of the piece to approve or request changes. Then once you receive your painting you will have 7 days to contact me with changes, problems or concerns.

What are the shipping options?

Currently I ship via UPS and USPS. All paintings are insured and tracking information is emailed as soon as the painting ships. 

What is the cost of shipping?

Shipping costs can be provided upon receiving your address and the size of the painting you are interested in. You can choose the shipping option that works best for you if multiple options are available.

Do you offer local pick up?

If you are local to the Charlotte, NC area arrangements can me made for local pick up.

How will my portrait be packed to ship?

Each painting will be professionally packaged to ensure it makes it safely to you. If there are any issues upon the arrival of the piece, please contact me within 48 hours.

Do you ship internationally? 

We can ship to most countries. Shipping costs can be provided upon receiving your address and the size of the painting you are interested in.

What type of paint and canvas do you use? 

My standard medium is oil paint on a linen stretched canvas with a 3/4” depth. Other canvas depths are available as well as flat panel if preferred. All of the surfaces mentioned will be the same archival quality to insure your painting lasts for centuries. I can discuss the benefits of each surface type during the consultation if you have questions on what will be best for your painting.

Why do you ask for 3-5 reference photos?

I aim to capture the personality of the pet along with his/her physical appearance. The more reference photos I have the better I can understand your pet’s personality, coloring and unique physical traits.

What is the commission process?

What is the payment process?

Payments can be made through APPLE PAY, PAYPAL OR VENMO.

Cost of painting and shipping (if applicable) are to be paid in full before the painting will be shipped.

Do you offer gift cards?

A custom gift card option can be made available and sent digitally or via mail. Simply email information@jillbuckart.com with details such as:

- The amount of the gift card

- The name of the recipient

- How you would like to receive the card (via email or traditional mail

- Any other information you wish to include

Are oil paintings “safe”?

While some specific colors of oil paints have a small level of toxicity, once dry the paint is completely safe. Furthermore, i coat each of my finished paintings in a non-toxic water-based varnish that fully encapsulates the painting and adds to the durability of the piece.
